Culture Night - George Horn Ltd Factory Tour and Demonstration

George Horn Ltd is a family run glove making business based in Stoneybatter. The company was formed by George Horn in Ashtown in 1943, where it remained until 1972 when the original factory burnt down. After that the business moved to Prussia Street until the early 2000s and from there to Inchicore. In 2023 it relocated to Stoneybatter, and is delighted to open our doors on Culture Night to give visitors an insight into how we manufacture our gloves.

The event will be an overview and demonstration of the various processes that go into making a pair of leather gloves, from cutting, to sewing to finishing the gloves. We'll also share some reminiscences of the old days when the factory was in Ashtown.
